Need Basic Steps to reactivate Wifi after Update to Kernel 5.00-27

Hi There

After updating the kernel to 5.00-27, my wifi has stopped working. Can you give me basic steps to remedy this? As in newbie level?

I tried above suggestions to no avail.
Thanks for your troubles.
I then randomly decided to go back to kernel 4.15; I can now access Wifi.

I also tried this to no avail: mokutil --sb-state
that includes restarting

Thanks, Before I give that a shot. I need to know in the event of some new systemic glitch, would a simple act of deleting and pasting the former line restore everything?

My Wifi no longer lists available networks. This is a sudden change
It works with the installation disk. I tried to reinstall Linux Mint 19.1, but it still doesn't detect.

Any steps I should take to solve this?

Hi, I updated the kernel to the most recent version, but still no sound. Still I'm glad that I learned how to update.
Are there other possibilities to gain sound? Or will this come with future upgrades?
