Re: How to install downloaded wifi driver

presumably the download failure -error 2 is because there is no connection
I checked around and it does seem clear that an ethernet connection is not possible for this machine

How to install downloaded wifi driver [SOLVED]

I have installed LM 19 Cinnamon on my Asus T100H and it works ok with a few problems with wifi and sound. This machine cannot be connected to the internet by ethernet [as far as I can see] so I downloaded the .txt and .bin files for brcmfmac43340-sdio on another machine and copied them to the T100H....

Thanks for coming back quickly In Synaptic Package Manager I reinstalled dkms - it is at 2.3.3 ubuntu 9.2 If the red swirl in column 2 indicates that a package is installed, then the majority of crossbuild-essential packages are installed. Re: PROBLEM with Realtek RTL8723DE HP laptop 15-bw067sa

Perhaps it would be helpful if I said that secure boot has been disabled and that all updates have been installed. But why doesn't "apt" work? And I can't install "git". No doubt it's me that is the "git" here but I can only admit that I am lost and hope someone with "un-git" me - if you ''git" my m...

PROBLEM with Realtek RTL8723DE HP laptop 15-bw067sa

Hi Folks. I am very new to linux. LM installed well and wired internet access is ok. Wifi is not working. I have searched the net and forums to get a solution but have ended up being more confused. Working with a terminal is very new to me but I can type, copy and paste with the best. It seems that ...

Re: Transfer from Windows 10

I did come across a bit of a problem - my own fault? I agreed to install LM on a friends HP Pavilion laptop. This machine has a Broadcomm wifi card and LM just doesn't seem to get on with it. Bit of head scratching and googling to find that Askubuntu has a detailed tutorial on how to sort this trick...

Re: Transfer from Windows 10

Hey Kefyr. Its nice to hear from one of you young guys. It sounds as if you would take to the terminal like a duck to water. All I can do is encourage you to get away from the ever increasing Windoze complications. The bit about "windows just does it" is applying increasingly to updates and the dema...
