Went through the reboot with the Ethernet cable unplugged but no change to Wireless unavailable.

Just to be clear, I typed my password and then nothing else happened in the terminal.

Ahh I see! Thanks Ok Yes I did reboot, but still didn't work. Also I did unplug the Ethernet cable after the reboot and then rebooted again with the cable unplugged. Still no change. Hmm I don't think it did anything.
After I typed my password nothing happened.
I unplugged the Ethernet cable but nothing changed.

Thanks! I ran the last command and rebooted and now I am connected to my wifi without even the USB wifiadapter!

Yeah I thought it should work out of the box but when I plug it in and head over to my network settings it shows up as USB Wi-Fi but I turn it on and it says 'unavailable' and my wireless network does not show up as an option. No network shows up.
