Hi lordvader98

I guess that you need Windows to this https://www.manualslib.com/manual/10559 ... ml?page=69.

Otherwise give Acer a call.

Hi dmend

Just a thought, but instead of just clicking to open what happens if you right-click and open with java?

Hi bscho

Do you mean something like this viewtopic.php?f=47&t=278821

It's over a year old but might still work.

Hi Neil

Bearing in mind - This extension isn’t monitored by Mozilla. Make sure you trust the extension before you install it.

Might it be worth having a go with the Umlauter extension?

Re: Getting umlauts on a UK English keyboard?

Hi nailed_barnacle

I'm assuming that you mean an umlaut in Open Office - sorry if I'm wrong.

Go to Special Characters then type dash into Search and set Font to Liberation Serif. The emlaut should appear, click Add to favourites.

Re: Integrity test fails and unclear what to do after multiple attempts. Help?

Hi jd09 , welcome to the forum. I think you may have two problems here which can be solved, but more information would make the ‘fix’ far less painful. Two questions. Do you still have a Windows installation on the computer that you’re trying to update? If you do then can you update your BIOS? As yo...

Re: How to disable tooltips

I've been trying to disable tooltips (the yellow boxes that pop up when you hover the mouse over stuff). I've searched around and found the suggestion to add "gtk-enable-tooltips = 0" in .gtkrc-2.0 which didn't work. I've also tried changing the option "show-tooltips" in the settings editor, which ...

On both my, very slow, Aspire Ones I'm currently running Brave and it seems like a happy compromise.

Sorry JerryF, I just thought that my experiences might be of some help, and I'm not asking for advice.

Re: A brilliant way to install browsers

I'm with Damien1307.

I'm about to try Peppermint on a computer that runs everything I need - Aspire One d255 - but browsers are particularly slooooow. Having loads of them at my beck and call seems like a damn fine idea.

One of them must be a bit quicker - I hope.

Thanks. That sounds good, but there is one thing I would like to clarify first. Why is my current version of Mint running so slowly? Would this be fixed with a fresh install? So how to I get the touchpad working correctly, without breaking the installation?
Hi, just wondering if you've gone to your Mouse and Touchpad setting, checked that the Device option is set to your Touchpad, then clicked on the Touchpad tab and selected Tap Touchpad to click.

Re: Show TV program. Recorded on TV. - ON PC ?

Hi Jørn Rudolph

I can only speak for the UK but our TV downloads are .mp4s and can be played pretty much anywhere and by most video players.

Do your downloads have a video type? dot something - such as .mp4?
