I never used to get it either but as I'm looking at buying a new, to me, bike I've been using it a lot over the last month and, as with you, started getting asked if I'm human. I didn't...

:) Thanks for trying to reassure me, but I still think it's cavalier to install stuff (especially that kind of stuff!) without at least giving the (l)user a choice. Hi Kurt. I appreciate what you're saying but we do have a choice. In Update Manager we can right click on any update and ignore it. ED...

Hi NathanShirley.

I can, it's designed that way. :D

When I press the super key I see the cursor in the search box, so it's expecting input from my keyboard and not my mouse.

Re: Firefox cannot be retrieved from the server today

To be honest, this grumbling is starting to annoy me. Especially because it is being used in a campaign against the agreement between Mozilla and Linux Mint. I'm wondering why none of the complainants favor the solution of increasing the technical resources of the main Mint repo servers so that the...

Hi vineyridge.

Also, Clem posted on the blog. https://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=3496

A bit of a guess here, but I think that as your Chip is a bit elderly (11/22/2007) it may be ‘exposed’ but the kernel etc have been patched.

Thanks dorset, that worked! I really appreciate it. I think I know what the problem was. I must have previously been a superuser because I never had any issues installing updates. Do you mean that you need to type in the password? When you open update manager, if there are updates and you click to install them, it brings up a password box. Is that what you mean? No, after I type in the password the message in italics above pops up. This is the message I get: E: dpkg was inte...
