can't type in korean

Hi.

I've been using Japanese with Mint 8 for a long time, but I can't seem to get Korean working the same way.

I can login with the os running in korean, but I can't switch input modes via ctr+space...

Any help would be appreciated. :)

question about sleep

Just a small question. When I wake my ThinkPad up the brightness of my laptop drops to it's lowest setting and is barely readable. The problem fixes itself if I log out then back in again. Is there any way I can make it so I don't have to log out every time it wakes up to be able to read my screen? ...

Re: trying to burn dvd iso

I'm just trying to use the standard built in software, where you just right click and burn.

How can I install k3b in Mint when I only see a version of it for KDE?

trying to burn dvd iso

I've burned a bunch of isos to cds, but haven't been able to do so with dvds.

I have an iso for slackware and it just wont burn.
It just prints "error" everytime I try.

What am I doing wrong?

I'm using Mint 8.

Anyone know how I can configure this little microphone to work with Mint?

I want to use it with Audacity.

Re: focus follows mouse

Thanks.

In gnome it doesn't call it focus follows mouse but it says "selects windows when you hover over them".

small question about terminal

Whenever I accidentally enter something in the terminal incorrectly, like just typing "cowthink" then pressing enter, how do I get back to the normal prompt.
I have been closing the terminal every time something like that happens.

Re: how to get rid off app

I did it via command line.

Now I'm noticing that no matter what I try to install it says this:

E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'sudo dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem.

What does this mean?

how to get rid off app

I tried installing virtualbox and my internet went out in the middle of the process and now I can't seem to get rid of the bad install.

I tried to use sudo apt-get remove virtualbox but that didn't get rid of it.

Am I missing something simple here.

Thanks in advance for any advice you have. :)

Re: limitations

I have 2 other machines and all 3 have never had this problem with wireless. I can pretty much download whatever at high speeds on any of them. (except for this install of mint) A few months ago I ran mint 7 and I had no wireless problem. Never disconnected. That's why this really puzzles me. So it ...

limitations

I've got a little problem with my wireless. My wireless connection with my recent install of Mint 8 seems to be limited by something. The connection has acted very strangely, and I think it might have something to do with large downloads. My thinkpad has 2 gigs of ram and runs smooth and fast except...
