Re: Cannot seem to find "mouse movement preferences" on Linux Mint 19.3
Hmm, not sure you'll get anywhere with drivers. I'd suggest downgrading the kernel to whatever was running in your previous build, but I doubt it's worth the trouble and security risk. That's like a $6 mouse. (Maybe a resistor or capacitor blew on its board) I'd just replace it with something better...

Pointing to documentation that OP ASKED FOR is NOT advising them to make the change.PastorRonP53 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 15, 2020 9:30 pmbut its Windows, and I want to install a couple of Linux distros...I'm stuck in a Windows world and don't care much for it.

Should be in the BIOS at: Storage > Storage Options > SATA Emulation > AHCI/RAID. Change it from RAID to AHCI. Check Security > Device Security/USB Security/Slot Security settings if unable to change SATA Emulation Mode. You shouldn't need to disable Secure Boot with Mint, but in case you do, it's a...

OK, there's a million of them in there and NOT in the Mint-Y-Dark theme that I'm using.

Re: Can't use Timeshift, using NTFS backup drive, what do I use?
So you have an external NTFS drive?
Can't you just partition off part of that and format as EXT4 for your backup?
You can always delete it and resize the NTFS partition back into the unallocated space later.

Re: Some of tray icons are changing to a circle with a line on the center
Same here. The only one I've noticed so far is KeePassXC. The app itself I have set to autostart at boot for Master PW entry and it seems to hang for about 10-15 seconds while bringing the window up and another 20-30 after PW entry. When it finally minimizes, it's the circle/line icon. CTRL+ALT+ESC ...

How can I change the icon in the tray for Transmission?
Everything else seems to be following the theme and are white while Transmission is bright red.
It's driving me nuts.

PSA - 19.3 to 20 - Just Do A Fresh Install

I know, it's a PITA recustomizing your system after months/years of doing so. It certain will be for me. (Starting fresh...

[SOLVED] 19.3 Quit Menu KB Shortcut Issue
Starting today, pressing CTRL+ALT+END on my desktop machine no longer brings up the quit menu (Menu > Quit) to select a power option. and immediately shuts the machine down instead. Nothing has been updated, and I've not changed any settings, about a week prior to this. (I use this feature multiple ...

Re: Grub refuses to use theme icon
Can anyone help me out? Either edit the theme.txt file to point to the correct image, or simply replace the theme's image with your own by copying your image over the top of the original using the original name. theme.txt doesn't point to the icons. Not even the original theme does this in theme.tx...

Grub refuses to use theme icon
This thread was marked as solved so I'll just open a new one. https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=308452 From that thread; I've done exactly this and grub still REFUSES to use my theme's linuxmint.png . Poly-Dark happens to be the theme I'm using too. It's only using gnu-linux.png ...
