Re: Mint 22 BETA

I only asking what is the version if you install it from repos.
packages.ubuntu.com is your friend.
Mint 22 is based on Ubuntu 24.04 Noble Numbat.
It looks like it's 5.27

You would not see error messages from the Software Manager.
Can you run it from the Terminal?

Yet another Flatpak bug...

Report it to Bottles and Lutris Flatpak packagers.

In the meantime try using non-Flatpak versions.

Not really sure what you mean by "layout"...
Anyway, I guess you would have to get creative with your HTML / XML skills to make what you want happen.

Re: Bottles uninstalled wine packages used by Lutris

This is Flatpak so I'm not sure, I think it works differently than Apt. When apt removes X, if X is also being used by Y, apt will also remove Y. I guess before you install / remove something, you have to carefully read the message (maybe take a screenshot or copy / paste into a text file), then CAN...

Re: Brave browser

How did you install Brave?

Was it from Software Manager?
In that case please run this Terminal command and show its error messages

Code: Select all

flatpak run com.brave.Browser
Or did you get it from a website? In that case run this and report errors:

Code: Select all

brave-browser

Re: Linuxmint Wine IP problem

You'll have to give us a lot more details for us to help. What is the program you are trying to run? Can you find it on the Wine App database? https://appdb.winehq.org/ Is it supported? Does the program have a website / source code? You have to understand that Wine is not a magic solution that can d...

Re: Bottles uninstalled wine packages used by Lutris

Welcome to the Forum. If you install from the Terminal, there is an option called --simulate which will show you, without installing / removing anything, what happens. It's used as apt install --simulate <whatever-package-you-are-installing> apt remove --simulate <whatever-package-you-are-removing> ...

We wouldn't know, you might want to ask the developers:

They might not know either, it could be an upstream Ubuntu / Debian reason.

Re: Severe boot delay 21.3

The btrfs message is just a generic message that shows up for everyone, it doesn't mean you have Btrfs partitions. You can ignore it. Can you show blkid Edit /etc/fstab (you can open it with xed admin:///etc/fstab ) by adding a comment # in front of the entries one at a time to see which one causes ...

Re: What happens if you leave your Firewall off?

There is nothing built-in. There are complicated Terminal tools to monitor traffic but you'd have to learn them. Antivirus basically doesn't exist on Linux, it's really crappy and doesn't do anything. Built-in firewall on the other hand is good. If firewall was off, then there might have been an inc...

Re: Nord Sound Manager

It looks like the software does not have a Linux version. But you cannot run it through Wine either, because I cannot find it in the Wine App database https://www.winehq.org/search?q=nord So you would be the first one to test it out. You can report it to the Wine database, tell them that the USB con...

They are probably detecting your browser and blocking the videos.
Try a User Agent extension, here's the Firefox version, there is a version for other browsers probably
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... -switcher/
This lets you pretend you are using Chrome.
