confusion there (i believe) between username and password:
username: 3 to 20 characters;
password: 6 to 30 characters.

AFAIK broadwell requires the newer kernel and intel driver from backports

I can't stand anymore the lack of PPAs. here we go again :shock: the 2 files that sophos finds are tekdefense.dll and 854137.exe , both windows-only executables, completely harmless in linux (and no, not even with wine installed they could be a threat, it was tried before >> http://archive09.linux.com/feature/42031 : doesn't work, windows...

i'm not absolutely sure about the support that the 331 drivers have for your card; you might need an updated driver that better supports it; but i'm sure that and executed nvidia-xconfig to make my xorg config file breaks the bumblebee config https://github.com/Bumblebee-Project/Bumblebee/wiki/Troub...

1. if you have a debian 7 package why install the ubuntu deb?

that is an ubuntu kernel and LMDE is not ubuntu-based, it's debian-based.
