I attempted to access the grub menu, by holding the shift key down, but it booted as normal. I didn't try esc. But, when it rebooted after that, everything appears to be working as normal now! Can't say why and can't say I did anything to cause this, but not complaining.

It's not there. FF is there as well as Thunderbird that I use for email. But no other browser.
