Re: Recovering lost disk space

No, I did not take any of that into account. So that's a good explanation. This is besides the point, but think the manufacturers should give you 1100gb for a 1T disk. That's the way it was in the old days. If you bought an ice cream, they put a cherry on top.

Recovering lost disk space

Hi. I have a 1T external drive. The meter bar says I 100gb left on the drive, but when I select all of the folders and tally them in Properties, they total only 800gb. There's nothing in Trash or in the $RECYCLE.BIN or trash folders on the drive. So it looks like I have 100 gb that is lost. How can ...

Re: Libre Office - How to turn off font color

Yes, I know that I cannot use the Esc key in Linux because it only works in Windows. That was explained previously. The question is How to escape from font color in Linux, and return to the default text mode?

Re: Libre Office - How to turn off font color

I tried it again. I'm not getting the paint bucket and dotted line now, so I must have done something wrong then. However, after going with font color again, I still can't escape. 'll have to make time to read that page and do whatever set up is needed, but I don't like having to do all of that for ...

Re: Libre Office - How to turn off font color

I'm referring to font color, which you can easily see if you hover over the buttons. It's the A with a red bar underneath it. I am on a laptop with only a basic touchpad. Escape from the font colour function should be as easy as escaping from bold or italics. In Windows, you escape from font color w...

Is there a problem with this question? I still can't escape from font colour, without restarting the program.

Libre Office - How to turn off font color

I was using a font colour (in Libre Office) and now would like to return to default, but I don't see how. The cursor has changed to a dotted line and a paint bucket shows. I need to be able to go back and forth from one colour to another and then also default font colour. I'm OK switching colours, b...

Re: Audiveris for Linux

Yeah. So am I. Maybe someone can guide me through building this? Otherwise, I'm going to have to transcribe everything into Musescore to hear it. And that's going to take as much or more time. And I already know how to use Musescore, but I don't know how to build an app. So it would be a wiser inves...

Re: Programs fall asleep

I don't know what to make of this. I wasn't having any problem with Windows 7 or with my old Mint. All of this other stuff remains constant. Both of those systems ran fine with 2Gb of RAM.
