Re: Mint 21 screen lock only partially obscures desktop sometimes
Does anyone see this happening on 21.1 mint? I haven't noticed it since upgrading to latest nvidia drivers and 21.1. I think there was a screen locker update for 21.0 in december that might have fixed it also?

Re: Mint 21 screen lock only partially obscures desktop sometimes
I have something similar going on after upgrade to 21. Multiple monitors and screen locker only obscures one monitor on resume from suspend. 3 monitors, nvidia 515.65
Is there a way to wipe data and reset only the screen locker safely?

Virtual console wipes bash history
When using the virtual console (ctrl+alt+f1), I find that it resets my bash history to 500. I have HISTSIZE set in ~/.bashrc to 5000000. I don't see why it would be different for the virtual console, as I still log into my user account there so it should read the same .bashrc. Is there a way to fix ...

Re: reset certain settings to improve performance
It doesn't seem to be based on applets. I can add some empty panels, set them to intelligently auto-hide, then click and swiftly drag windows around and they don't move smoothly, freezing in place as I move the mouse around for a few hundred milliseconds. From what I can tell having multiple monitor...

Re: reset certain settings to improve performance
I eventually found the culprit to be the panel autohide option. That is completely broken performance wise and disabling that seems to have restored performance.

reset certain settings to improve performance
Currently in cinnamon I get poor performance. Dragging windows around is very choppy and will freeze, and benchmarking 3d games gives about 10fps lower than with other WMs and that performance seems to go down over time/suspend/resumes. I created a new user with default cinnamon settings and noticed...
