Re: Zoom Conferencing Permitted Browsers

You can install Zoom directly from the Linux Mint software repository.
Open your Software Manager, type in "Zoom" into the search bar, and then Zoom will show up in the results. From there you can install and use it as desired.

depending on the program you're using, you may be able to change settings or change the launch command to do what you want. Try researching if you can do that.

Re: Run app in background on startup

I'm not too sure about making Telegram startup without showing the GUI. Try running telegram --help and see if it provides any useful info. Btw do you know why you can set programs to start automatically after some seconds? This feature is used for: -if an application needs another to begin before i...

Re: Run app in background on startup

It depends on the application - some can and some can't.
What program do you want starting up automatically? Many can be configured in the startup applications settings. Go to General Settings > Preferences > Startup applications, and add a new application by clicking the + button.

You might need to un-associate your flash drives with your software. In your Cinammon menu, type in"preferred applications" and go to the resulting application. https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aruamdwJWlE/Vmq-H8QJm3I/AAAAAAAAHDc/w5uEHwYWsXE/s1600/removable-media-linux-behavior.png In the "removable media...

I looked at the user guide for your software, and it says that your software supports these Operating Systems: -Windows Server 2008-2019 -Windows 10/8.1/8/7 -Ubuntu -SUSE -Red Hat -CentOS Debian is not in this list. :( Micron must have added a software detection program so your software can't run on...

Re: Anyone recommend a decent split screen terminal for telnet ?

What application are you using? Are you using a regular Linux terminal or an application you downloaded? If you're using a different application (VNC viewer, PuTTY, etc.) then you'll need to specify. if you need to use two regular Linux terminals at once, simply open a terminal and right click on th...

Re: sawpping graphics card problem

This is an issue that occurs when upgrading your GPU - your Linux Mint drivers aren't set to work with your card and therefore run into errors like that. Try pressing ctrl + alt + f2 on your keyboard, and you should have a text-based login window. Enter your username and password to login, and then ...

Re: Help installing drivers for USB-C dongle (it has linux support)

Sorry about that, this process isn't too easy. Let me try this again: The process will be somewhat similar to when you download a .zip file for a Windows installer. Once you download the ethernet driver, you need to find the downloaded file and double click on it. Once you do, an "Archive manager" s...

Re: Help installing drivers for USB-C dongle (it has linux support)

OK, so you might just need that driver. Also remember USB 3.0's "5 Gigabits a second" transfer speed actually equates to "625 megabytes a second" because 1 gigabit = 125 megabytes. The process will be somewhat similar to when you download a .zip file for a Windows installer. For some reason though, ...
