Re: BANNED From a website??

The real question is why you are determined to connect to his site if he doesn't want you? I'd take that as a cue to find another site, as I couldn't do business with them. I'd also be stunned if the ban was for what you say, it's very harsh and doesn't make sense especially for a business. Busines...

BANNED From a website??

Hey guys... I need help as I am VERY curious as to HOW this website owner has blocked me from his site. I got blocked for telling him he doesn't know how to run his site. Long story, but he does not take care of his own site, nor does he answer his emails. But God forbid, send him a message saying h...

Re: Setting Up Partitions In GParted Mint/Debian?

Well, it doesn't seem to want to install for me. Here is the way I ended up partitioning: /dev/sda1 EXT4 /target 150mib /dev/sda2 EXT4 swap 7.81gib /dev/sda3 EXT4 /target/home 588.21gib The first time I tried installing without formatting, thinking that the setup would do it. The installation crashe...

Re: Setting Up Partitions In GParted Mint/Debian?

I tried doing it, though I cannot seem to find a root selection or boot selection and I have a 640 gb drive and wonder how much space to allocate to each partition I think that you may be slightly confused about GParted's functionality. From memory you use gparted to create your partitions (with a ...

Re: Setting Up Partitions In GParted Mint/Debian?

http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=90&t=11872 Thanks! I'll check it out. EDIT: Thanks but this does not instruct on how to use gparted to set up for Mint/Debian, though it is suggestions of how to improve your partitioning. I simply need a EXT4, Boot and root and I will be good to go. But ...

Re: Setting Up Partitions In GParted Mint/Debian?

Is there NO ONE who can help me partition my drive so I can install Mint/Debian?? I mean, Mint IS the second highest downloaded Linux OS available! Shouldn't there be people who know this stuff? Man... I've got to say that Linux is NOT ready for mainstream and I highly doubt it ever will be. Thanks ...

So I deleted it and now want to install Mint 11 Debian, but I don't remember how to set up the partitions. Can I get some help with step-by-step instructio...

Ever Since The Last Mint Update...

...Mint crashes a lot! I am running the main distro 11. I am pretty new to Linux. I tried it a couple of times in the past years and have always reverted back to the ease of windows 7. They say Linux is FREE, though I have to beg to differ! Linux is NOT free if you realize all of the precious loss o...

Re: I Can No Longer Update My 64 Bit OS

This worked... FINALLY!

apt-get -y autoremove && aptitude -y autoclean && aptitude -y clean && dpkg --configure -a && aptitude update

I don't know what the difference is from the above line RichyRich posted, but this one I copied and pasted from the
article posted above worked.

Re: Hulu not working after yesterday's OS Update

I have found that if you install the Mint 64 flash, you can watch YouTube and other flash videos of such,
but to watch Hulu, you must UNinstall Mint 64 flash and install non-free Flash.

WHAT A HEADACHE!!!

but it works for now until there is a real remedy.
