Re: Evolution & Claws email - error message

It's good to have Flatpak, I'm wasn't sure of the audience. I use it quite a bit. If it wasn't available I'd be doing OS upgrades which is not what I want to being doing in my free time. Without it, (so everyone knows) you could download the Evolution source code compile it (if you don't have the co...

Re: Evolution & Claws email - error message

Sorry, I've been out of the loop. I updated to the flatpak version of Evolution 3.36.2 (by Flathub.org). Looks good so far. I did a backup and restore of the config files. and mail (backup old and restore to the new Evolution) That seemed to take the time. The install was actually not bad. I'm on Fe...

Re: Evolution email - error message

Glad the new version works (flatpak.org). :D :D I looked back at my emails and this has happened twice before and I've had to upgrade Evolution because it had issues. I don't have a WireShark trace from when things were working so I can't be sure, but in the past this happens when the ISPs upgrade s...

Re: Evolution email - error message

I didn't install the latest version of Evolution from Flatpak. It's good to hear there is a work around with IMAP. Does anyone know if the "older" versions of Evolution support TLS 1.2? Also, I don't think that POP was abandoned because Outlook 2013 and Thunderbird work with no changes. I'm looking ...

Re: Evolution email - error message

The error we are getting indicates a certificate problem. I have all my email account on 3 computers. Gmail, Yahoo, ATT and Yahoo Small business. It appears from posts that Yahoo, ATT, AOL and Yahoo Small business are being handled by one mail provider, correct? The 3 computers that have all my mail...

Re: Evolution email - error message

Pretty sure this is related to the certs. Here is what I've tried. I have a firewall that allows all traffic to be decrypted and inspected by the firewall before it is re-encrypted and relayed to my internal machines. To accomplish this Firefox (the browser I'm using and Seahorse) need to be updated...

Re: Evolution email - error message

I'm having the same problem with Evolution. I believe this has to do with the certs, in Linux keys. Let me know if you find any answers. I haven't run any updates and I think cert. at the ISP may have expired or at least the certs in Linux Seahorse are outdated. Not sure how to update them. I forced...
