Hi all, just thought I'd share this fix with anyone who needs to get an Epson scanner working, (Mint 9 and i.i.r.c. also on Mint 7). I do a lot of film photography and consequent scanning of negatives and slides, so I really needed to get my scanner up and running on Mint 9 now that I have dumped XP...

I followed the link you provided and tried the solutions shown there, but this didn't help me with the problem. In the very brief 'Help' that was provided with the card reader, I found a mention that the reader is presented as an SCSI drive within the OS; and checking in Gparted - it does show there...

I dual boot Mint with XP Pro on my main PC, primarily because I do a lot of film photography and develop/scan my own negatives - so I need/use my scanner daily and frankly - I just can't get it to work well on Mint. My secondary PC has Mint as the only OS and I use it a lot for my digital photograph...
