Re: Best Basic backup solution
Have a look at Duplicati it's dead easy to use and to be brutally honest it makes most other open source backup tools look like toys. I tried to install the product but it would not install. I have tried to enclose an image of the error screen but this environment will not show it. Sorry it isn't w...

There isn't a black n white answer that anyone can offer you here. Make an honest list of what you value most in an OS and decide which one ticks the most boxes for you. Done!

... I have toothache today. I just don't feel like the sarcasm was necessary. The best thing about this thread could be to wish @Egorama good recovery and healing of her or his toothache. Re: Help me please
Windows can't read Linux partitions without extra software. Assuming you installed Linux on an Ext4 partition then https://github.com/mregmi/ext2read is a GUI tool that should help. Another way would be to use WSL-2 and mount the drive using that, however, it would require a lot more work and the le...

Unexpected behaviour from MintUpdate
I received an update for a Cinnamon applet today which installed without asking for my password. Is that by design for Cinnamon applets? Never noticed it happen before.
