Hello, You've a very old hardware for LM20.x according to your signature. Maybe you should consider using a previous and less demanding version of LM (19.2 has a 4.15 kernel which may support old hardware - a try from the USB ISO can't harm).. What should I use , FAT32 or NTFS? Use it for what? The tarball is the tar file you downloaded from the internet. The tar.gz file you mentioned. But, you said you downloaded it now at the software cebter now right? Try launching it at the Menu.

Go to where the downloaded file is located. Then, double-click. Post a picture of the contents of the tarball. Also, Minecraft is in the Software Center.

This was wayy back, but congrats! It's been a long time since I used Mint as my laptop got broken. I use Arch temporarily. Congrats again!

Press anything from ESC-F12. From there, there are logs you can see whether something failed or what's it's doing. Same method when booting up as well.
