odd booting issue

SO using Linux Mint 20 XFCE version i need to turn on XHCI, EHCI and IOMMU in bios in order to have acccess to my mouse and keyboard? if i turn these on i get read errror 110 on usb ports (but they will work) if i leave these turned off - i get read error 32 - no mouse or keyboard input system specs...

my suggestion would be you forgot to add the

sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386
and

Code: Select all

sudo apt update
steams fonts need 32-bit libraries to show-up

it might..... might also help fix the issue of going from 5g wifi down to 2.4g with the updates i did although i noticed that there appeared to be an nvdiea problem also in that thread.... which means i would suffer as well... i'll do some testing on my games first.... really anxious to see if battl...

when wine was set-up did you get any mention / warning about 32-bit or 64-bit pre-fix? according to the script it makes a 64-bit prefix... the game launchers need a 32-bit reference for themselves to work/ start-up. - Uplay -Steam if you were using normal wine (with wine tricks) you might be able to...

after reboot i did add linux-base and

i now have everything except for the kernel 5.4.0-58.64 and system is running - including wifi

ok found 1 that says
- kernel 5.4.0-58.64 with a lightning strike so unticked that one.

but also linux-base

should i also untick this one?

i need to have a grub menu to access first...... at the moment i go from cold boot to mint logo, - shift doesnt work - no grub menu present - media tek wifi dongle reliant on the 5.4.0-26 kernel when using kernel 5.4.0-58 - causes screen freezing - loses wifi i need to do a sudo apt upgrade minus ke...

timeshift was not installed... pressing " SHIFT" to try changing kernels not working currently states 5.4.26 kernel installed whilst 5.4.58 active - if that means anything i will re-install again today ( 4 times yesterday, 1 time today) - try adding time shift - attempt to see if its the N...

with 19-20 mods we were using around 7.5gig ram each.

if you have firewalls on the linux machine running you will need to find the java runtime and allow it as well.

oh and roblox sucks on both :lol: :lol: and doesnt work on linux

FIX for Nvidea card issue

1.

Code: Select all

sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386
2.

3.

sudo apt upgrade
draw back is upgrade screws up wifi, no idea what packages(s).

currently using live usb to write this (live usb wifi works fine)

currently installed "nouveau open source driver"
recommended " driver 455

cant install missing i386 lib
