Re: Erratic multi monitor behavior at DPMS standby
Initially I had 3 monitors connected: 2 via DP and 1 via HDMI. I noticed a common problem: huge lag, when the monitors are not set to the same display dimensions (this post is not about that lag, but if there is a work around for this, I'm not against being informed :D ). Because the HDMI monitor i...

Re: After a few package upgrades LMDE boots to ER shell???
@SMG: Alrighty, thanks for the "7 is a year away" answer, that is helpful. But, whether I am "the only one" having this problem, I am having a problem, and the forum is supposed to be a place where "help" is provided . . . rather than deferred. Help has not been deferr...

Re: Desklet - commandResult by ZimiZones
I'm upset as for some very odd reason my older backups couldn't restore the previous version of this useless "update". Looking at the changes that happened yesterday, all is see is the Dutch translation added. That might be why your older backups are not changing what you see as a problem...

Re: [SOLVED] Unknown Display
Yes I understood that I was telling MOK that the Nvidia driver could be trusted but what I didn't understand were the options presented to me as I had never seen them before. It's up to the computer manufacturer as to the specifics on how it is handled. Not all of them handle it the same way. ASUS ...

Re: Can't change screen brightness - Lenovo IdeaPad - Cinnamon 21.3
After difficulties and help from a friend I did install Linux Mint 21.3 Cinnamon (Edge) Edition ISO. Here is the copy of my System Information: Did you boot normally or did you boot in recovery mode to get this information? Or did you maybe use the nomodeset kernel parameter? (You should not use no...

Re: Unknown Display
I think it is all working now. All the configuration options are showing in the Nvidia X Server Settings now and it is even showing my monitor under the Display Settings. Good to hear. So this was all because I didn't know how to properly install my graphics drivers on this new system? Makes sense,...

Re: Desktop keeps freezing after some time of usage
I use my laptop normally for 2-5 hours, when suddenly it freezes making me have to restart it via button. After restarting, the computer may randomly crash during startup, it may be on the screen where there is only the Mint logo, it may be when my desktop has already appeared and I start to move m...

I know that was a very old thread, but running that script fixed the sound issue somehow. Good to see it did not change the kernel. The script likely turned on pulseaudio. I have no idea what you may have done for pulseaudio to not be running, but hopefully, it will automatically start like it shou...

Re: LMDE 6 Senpai's Respin with only the Mate Desktop
There is one version of the LMDE 6 ISO. The ISO will never be updated.
Updates for LMDE 6 (including updates for the Cinnamon desktop) come through Update Manager as they are released. That has already been happening.

So you have no idea what might have been happening? If you are letting video streams run while you are afk, then it's not as if nothing is happening on your computer. I've been using my computer as usual and the freezes still happen. This time I noticed a few more things while I was using it. Befor...
