Re: Issues with RTX 3070 Mobile Drivers
So, I have run sudo update-secureboot-policy --enroll-key I have then entered a password twice. I have already gone through this process, but my computer never asks me to enter the password after reboot. Do I need to use it in the Login Window? If you run inxi -Gx is the Nvidia driver showing as lo...

Re: Random system freeze
The system basically just stops responding to anything, it does not unfreeze as I have waited for hours. Everything stops working, not just something specific from what I was able to observe as I also have some services running and I can externally see that they are no longer online. As mentioned, ...

Re: Issues with RTX 3070 Mobile Drivers
Regarding secure boot, I do indeed have it enabled, running the command you sent me confirms it. I don't really know what it does, my brain just saw secure during the installation process and thought "oh hey that's neat", so I clicked it, didn't put much thought into it lol. It is a means...

Re: Issues with RTX 3070 Mobile Drivers
I'm a bit of a newbie at this stuff, so forgive me if I am missing something obvious. Welcome to the forum, RTXuser . Installing the driver and having it load at boot time are two different steps. Is secure boot enabled? You can check by running the following in a terminal mokutil --sb-state If it ...

Re: Crackling and Popping Sound
Thank you, when attempting those steps I get the following errors, is this likely to be the cause of my problems? Because now it's really bad, like extremely distorted and a little phasey all the time. Those are not errors. They are warning messages. Your system has Renoir and none of those are for...

Re: Laggy system that freezes with frequent audio pops

I removed my headset and usb mike and looked at sound settings and saw Headphones family 17h flash by in a millisecond followed by a pop and sometimes a system freeze. Am I understanding this to indi...

That looks like your desktop background and not a watermark. It seems your browser background is transparent?
Look in the upper left. You can also see your Home folder you have on your desktop right above the Trash.

Re: Laggy system that freezes with frequent audio pops
Ok Fresh install, ran update and upgrade. and fixed the wifi. All three problems are still there but 75% less frequent and severe. And the audio spikes are gone. So what now Take a Timeshift snapshot and then install the proprietary Nvidia driver would be my recommendation for next steps. Then give...
