Re: My screen keeps flickering at random after installing Linux mint 22

I haven't tried 21. I mentioned a specific version LM21.2 because version 21.3 has a newer kernel and there are known issues with Stoney graphics with that kernel. AMD Stoney and Wani graphics and problems with 5.15.0-85 and newer 5.15 kernels This flickering seems to trigger when the image changes...

Re: AMD Display Driver (Rembrandt) crashing too often

The computer is more likely to crash when it is idle? Launching into a very niche and opaque line of reasoning here, so circling back to find a a tangible theory, I focus on this strand of the thread above for the moment: Yes The reason I asked was because of this topic when my PC idles, Mint crash...

Re: Stuttering when dragging a window close to the edge of the screen or the edge of another window in Cinnamon 6.2.9

I had it turned off in 20.x but can't find any way to turn it off in 21.x or 22. I see you (or someone with the same username) posted on the GitHub issue on this. I went through the code changes and it appears it was completely removed. There was a major muffin change going from Cinnamon 5.2 to 5.4...

It would be better to post requests of this type on GitHub: Linux Mint: Discussions if you want the Cinnamon team to see it.

Just posting a couple of bug reports I found while helping with a different issue. Figured I might as well check on these messages while I was in the AMD bug reporting system. Nothing exactly like your situation, but maybe they are related. `amdgpu 0000:5a:00.0: [drm] Cannot find any crtc or sizes` ...

ive kept my PC on since the last time you commented at 9pm, and here it is current 6pm the next day, and my PC monitors have not turned off nor freeze has happened. Re: Unknown display and driver listed as N/A and renderer as llvm

I read that this is a sign that the driver did not load, however the driver manager shows the driver as installed. Which version proprietary Nvidia driver did you install? What is the output of dpkg -l | grep -i nvidia What is the output of mokutil --sb-state If this is the correct link, the latest...

I don't have a touch screen monitor, it's an Epson projector. Projectors do not always act the same way as monitors. What is the output of xrandr --verbose BTW, I noticed something else, when the text cursor disappears, the keyboard won't work either -- so if I click on an icon on the desktop and t...

Re: Is it GRUB, UEFI, GPT? I don't know

I updated the UEFI to F8 just as you recommended and turns out I'm now able to start the system from GRUB, yes, but, there is a catch. Before, the steps to work out the booting were: Advanced options... > Linux Mint.... (recovery mode) > Resume normal boot. Now I can: Advanced options... > Linux Mi...

No such luck. OP already updated to 3035 (see 3rd post). In between the post I made about checking the UEFI version and the OP updating, the latest UEFI version changed and I didn't notice. The iGPU also shows up in glxinfo by default here, and there are interesting (I think) things in the l...

I will color-code the fields so you can see the amount being used is 10.4%. Memory: total: 32 GiB available: 31.12 GiB used: 3.24 GiB (10.4%) And if you might...

Re: Cannot get my RX 7900XTX to display correctly

I did a search on the forum for others with B650E-F and checked to see what GPUs they were using. The first person I found was using the onboard GPU. The second person had an RX 570 which shows as Device-1 in the Graphics section, but just like your setup, their onboard GPU shows as the OpenGL rende...
