Re: Panel problems-maybe

Thanks for anyone who wants to respond. I have, however, deleted the LM OS and uninstalled VMWare Player.

I'll try again in 2-3 yrs.

Maybe I'll be able to play a recently released mainstream game of my choice by then who knows?

Re: Panel problems-maybe

Hi, Thanks for the response. I did that - nothing moved, panel was not locked. As I said, I am not unfamiliar with Linux, I have running it off/on since Red Hat 2.0 (before they reset their release numbers - late 1990's-early 2000's). I also tried removing all panels and re-adding just the one. Noth...

Re: Panel problems-maybe

Hi, I really appreciate the Linux community. I'd be no where without you. I am not an "average" Windows user. I am not an average Linux user. I think power user to expert user in Windows and at least power user in Linux applies to me. Every 2-3 years I fire-up VMware Player and install a few distros...

Including systray and windows list and menu. any primary panel I have modified should then become the default when adding extra panels. I know, I have hear...

Panel problems-maybe

Hi, I installed Linuxmint 20 - Cinnamon - yesterday using VMware player (latest and greatest) and all worked fine. I am experimenting before doing a dual boot with Windows 10. I did all my "after Linux install" configurations as far as Rdp, file sharing, adding Lan printer etc., etc. This is easy in...

Re: External Seagate USB

If you can, try to connect the drive to a Windows system. Open the drive properties sheet and change the drive name. For example. My external Seagate 6Tb drive is named Media. When I mount in Linux it shows up on desktop as media. I supposed you could do it in Linux. Not sure how and would be intere...

Re: Google-Chrome-stable wants to be default browser

I hate google chrome. Period. Especially the new DoH (DNS over HTTPS) that is enabled by default. I run my own DNS servers tyvm google. I use Firefox as my default browser on all my OS's. But I DO use chrome based browser for a few things, mostly testing connectivity or website viewing when Firefox ...
