You are running the correct version, but apparently it's not using the Gtk3 controls and instead uses its own fallback generic ones (which do look like the Windows ones). The only idea that comes to mind is

Code: Select all

apt install --reinstall libreoffice-gtk3
Thank you! That worked perfectly.

No indefinably Linux - and i installed it from the mint repo

I've also tried doing

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get remove --purge libreoffice*
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get autoremove
and then reinstalling.

[Solved] File open/save dialog in LibreOffice

I'm sure this must have been answered before... but can't find the right search terms to find it. I have Mint 19 upgraded from 18, with LibreOffice 6 installed from the mint retros. Everything works, but when I open and save files, the dialog box is not 'mint themed' and isn't as well designed/funct...

Re: Screen freezes every few seconds [SOLVED]

THANK YOU for posting the follow up message with the fix!!!

I had the same problem and uninstaling the CPU Temperature Indicator 1.0 applet fixed the problem.

Sadly it looks like that applet is no longer in active development.

Re: Awesome New Mint System v. 2.0

That's really helpful, thanks

I'm just about to buy a Skylake i5-6500 which im planning to pair with a MSI Z170A Gaming PRO Motherboard. From the sounds of it, I should have no problem installing Mint 17.3 on it. I was a bit worried becaise I wasn't sure is the kernal would work for Skylake.

Re: no updates for XFCE (again sorry)

Thanks - that's good to know.

The delay doesn't really bother me... just as long as I'm set up to recieve uprdates properley when they do come... which it looks like I am, so all is well.

Thank you!

Screen resolution

Hi, Im running mint Xfce. I need my screen to display in 1024x768 resolution (like it does in win XP). However that isn't an option. doing xrandr tells me: Screen 0: minimum 320 x 240, current 800 x 600, maximum 960 x 600 default connected 800x600+0+0 0mm x 0mm 960x600 60.0 960x540 60.0 800x600 60.0...
