They've got a fair chance indeed! ;)

Using v2, and envious of your skills in GIMP. Where'd you learn all this wonder?

Re: How to Help?

Hehe, I'm proud to be a geek-type. And Hiero, worry not! I find all that to have gone from a serious war to stupid nationalism. I remain neutral in any such 'talks'. Atheism makes you think much more of the value of life... Found that book, and shall order as soon as I acquire the means to. :)

How to Help?

Apologies if this is the wrong forum, but over the past few months I've fallen in love with Linux and the philosophies of Open Source software. After Kubuntu, Ubuntu, Fedora, and openSUSE, I finally settled with Linux Mint. I'd love to contribute in some way, but not certain of how I could. Still in...

Re: Why KDE?

I tried Kubuntu before, although that felt like a dead weight. Fonts didn't work properly and didn't connect to WiFi with ease. I have heard its pretty dead though. Lots of people have told me about amaroK being amazing. I'll download the Live CD and if I like it, install it. I'll be 'inheriting' so...

Why KDE?

Well, I've been using the GNOME edition of LM for quite a while and sitting on this ugly old school computer on Win XP I was thinking I should probably try the KDE CE. Any suggestions why you prefere it? Thanks. :)

I don't have a net-book yet, but I think its definitely an idea worth considering. Another community distro perhaps? :)

Isn't that the point of KDE? Allow more tweaking and to look better? (Not that it does really, in my opinion).

Re: Mintier OpenOffice Loading Screens

What I meant was, basic everyday-type applications such as OpenOffice would be nice to be slightly more personalized for Linux Mint, considering it comes pre-installed. I don't expect developers to spend days and days tweaking the appearance of every application to fit co-existantly with Linux Mint,...

Mintier OpenOffice Loading Screens

This is just a little idea I had, when I noticed openSUSE (which I didn't really like) had a custom splash screen for OpenOffice; which I quite liked, similar to how we have "GIMP Mint", to make a more integrated environment. Would it be possible for us to have the OpenOffice loaders customised in t...

Re: New Wallpaper "Fresh Air" - ...or "Fresh" revisited!

6 Minutes until I finish downloading Linux Mint 7 GNOME - and I feel certain that that I shall also be downloading this in the near future. Beautiful work! :)
