Re: Mint 12 KDE final, can't connect to hidden SSID

I am having the exact same problem. I try on the live disk Mint 12 KDE to run my wireless, which is the only way i can connect on that computer and the KDE network manager applet will NOT recognize that I have hit the enter key after entering in my hidden SSID. NOTHING I did was able to get me conne...

Copy and Move To options in context menu

This is probably one of those things I could figure out if I had some sleep but at the moment I just have to ask the stupid question.... In Mint 9, which is great by the way, I like the new additions to the context menu..specifically Copy To and Move To..however the only options are desktop and home...

Re: problem on update manager mint9

I use the removed repos to keep the newest version of Flock Browser and I am having the same issue. It's not constant but quite frequent.

Re: Things I would like to see in future Mints

I haven't posted anything in my wish list topic lately. Here's a small list of things I would love to see in future mints. First of all, I'm never going to be a fan of Rhythmbox. I've had decent versions of it and buggy versions of it. I find it unnecessarily bloated. As a default selection, I would...

Re: Things I would like to see in future Mints

Somewhere I have seen both Christian and Muslim editions of Ubuntu. I recall some debate about why DistroWatch did not include the Satanic Edition of Ubuntu (which was not a CE, as I recall). However, as a Christian I would still like to side in on the side of making Mint completely non-partisan. T...

Re: Gone back to Linux Mint version 7

Well . . . I like Mint-8 .  Helena has been good to me. I am using Mint-8 with the Xfce Meta package installed over the Gnome desktop. All in the Mint Repros. I've not had any problems with Mint-8 at all. But, I know that using Ubuntu 9.10 as the base, came with it's share of problems. M...

Re: Gone back to Linux Mint version 7

Don't feel too bad about going back to Linux mint 7..many people are thinking of doing the same. Mint 8, despite some improvements in MintMenu and the software manager, has just been causing problems and just about NOBODY is happy with the 'login screen from hell.' I personally am about to reinstall...

Mint 7 wallpapers removed from Mint 8

One of the things I was unhappy about in Linux Mint 8 was the removal of a couple of really great wallpapers, designed with us more 'grungy' folks in mind, so I thought I would post the links to download the wallpapers that i particularly missed. Here they are..enjoy! http://www.linuxmint-art.org/co...

Re: Things I would like to see in future Mints

AWN items are called launchers, not applets, and it is very easy to make your own ( http://wiki.awn-project.org/index.php?title=FAQ#How_do_I_add_launchers_to_the_bar.3F ). For example to make a force quite launcher just add the command : "gnome-power-cmd shutdown" to a launcher item. I don't know t...

Things I would like to see in future Mints

There are a few things I would love to see in future Mints: 1. chocolate...okay just kidding.. 2. Mint Menu as an applet for AWN<--dead serious! 3. Force Quit as an applet for AWN or the ability to add it as if it were an app right to the bar (yes, this is more a Gnome issue but... 4. Thoughts 2 and...
