Re: [Solved] A bug with multiple screens?

Just noticed that I have exactly the same results with Timeline (3D). Thus Start menu > Windows > Alt-Tab > Alt-Tab switcher style > Coverflow 3D OR Timeline 3D results in the exactly the same bug... More a Mint, than a Coverflow (3D)/Timeline (3D) bug? Just for those looking for a solution with mul...

To get a bunch of wallpapers/backgrounds

Dear fellow users of Linux Mint,

Is there a way to get most to all wallpapers from previous editions? Like a package and such, for example from EasyLinuxProject, part 3, option 3.

After a while, new are interesting to have...

Of course, this is the results: cat /etc/fstab # /etc/fstab: static file system information. # # Use 'blkid' to print the universally unique identifier for a # device; this may be used with UUID= as a more robust way to name devices # that works even if disks are added and removed. See fstab(5). # #...

How to have write access as well?

Hello fellow users of Mint, After a clean install of Mint 20.1c, I have the following problem with my RAID setup using mdadm. Although my Mint recognize the RAID, it does not have writing access. I have tried to say to cmod to give me writing access as well, but it does not listen: sudo chmod +wx /m...

Re: Laptop Fan Control

On Windows I have used SpeedFan and mobo software to do this trick. But on m20.1c I went to my BIOS/UEFI instead, because there is no linux software of both (maybe with wine?). That is indeed a workaround, thus I also would like to know how to controle my fans during the use of Mint. Just following ...

Although the problem with Coverflow is not solved, the issue itself is solved by not using Coverflow...

Thus thanks...

Re: A bug with multiple screens?

If I may speak for all newbies, you are welcome... But ontopic, Coverflow 3D does not work with multiple screens on Cinnamon it seems. After creating yet another issue on GitHub, I will get comfort with Compiz. I searched on Coverflow on the Cinnamon Issues page for open and closed issues and there ...

Re: Stubborn unmet dependencies for GIMP

For another project, I tried to use GIMP which I have installed after an clean install to m20.1, but I can not find it between my other apps. Thus I went to the software manager, but the option to install GIMP (and some other gimp related apps) are "Not available". It sounds like you alre...

At this point you will need to fix your broken packages before anything will install properly.

Try:

Code: Select all

sudo dpkg --configure -a
Thanks, but I have already tried it, see third line in the third box of codes. Because I could not succeed, I am asking for help.

Re: A bug with multiple screens?

Thanks again for your quick reply. This time, I haven't forgot you. On Cover Flow, I have not installed anything to do this. All I did was going to Start menu > Windows > Alt-Tab > Coverflow, thus a possible setting that comes with Cinnamon itself. For the record I am using Mint 20.1 Cinnamon editio...
