Re: Running Steam under PlayonLinux

Some games have certain issues depending a lot different things, such as hardware used, graphic driver installed correctly, proton versions, whether the correct windows files are being installed, etc. Had a game that wouldn't launch from steam but did from steam created shortcut because it needed to...

Re: Game save folders on Steam ?

Both are home

Code: Select all

/home/john = ~
so you can use either one depending on what your doing
But in this case either

Code: Select all

 /home/john/.steam/steam/steamapps/
or

Code: Select all

~/.steam/steam/steamapps/
will work because there the same location.
And I still do understand what your asking about root.

Re: Game save folders on Steam ?

Are you using a terminal or filemanger?
This is my home

Code: Select all

/home/john
but it would be

Code: Select all

/home/yourusername
for you

Re: Game save folders on Steam ?

But if you know the file type, or part of the name you can search for it using grep. And before that you need to know the steam id for the game which also can be found by grep. None of that can be done without the game name.

Re: Game save folders on Steam ?

It still depends on where the game points too.

PC: Morrowind, Diablo
Console: Final Fantasy 7 The Very First Version(PS), Super Mario RPG(SNES), Robotrek(SNES).
I could list so many retro rpg games that I loved, I could never settle on just one.
