Ya, I see that to. I am going to reboot into windows and see if there is any software that will do what I want. I didn't think I would have all this problem just to resize a pattern.
I will let you know what I find.

Re: need advice
The 32 was a typo but I think you hit the nail on the head. I never thought of changing the DPI. My printer and scanner both have a DPI setting and they are both different, I don't know about Pinta but I will research the settings for Pinta. But thanks man, that is definitely the problem, I will pla...

Re: need advise
Hi richyrich, thank you for the response. I have done it both ways and I see no difference whether I resize the canvas or resize the image. I am beginning to think it may be a bug in Pinta. I have tried two ddifferent scanning software and two different printers and if I scan a 8.5 x 11 photo when I...

Hi all, its been a while since I been around but here I am again with a problem that is making me pull my hair out. I am trying to scan a wood carving pattern out of a magazine with Simple Scan and/or Gscan2pdf. I can scan the pattern ok but when I go to open it in Pinta to edit it. Instead of being...

Re: If anyone had their desktop disappear, this is why
Hey everyone ! Man I thought the forums were dead. Well after installing and re-installing LMDE six times and trying different things, I think it is finally fixed. In the end, I had to change my partitions from GPT to MBR and then take all Updates , all levels( 1-5). I can not explain why but when I...

Everything works great until I do the mint update and then the screen goes black and nothing works. I have to hol...

Re: If anyone had their desktop disappear, this is why
I have installed and reinstall LMDE five times in the last day. Everything works great until I do the mint update and then the screen goes black and nothing works. I have to hold the power button down to turn the pc off. I then reboot and it goes to a blank screen and nothing works. I have tried you...

How to convert Debian into LMDE?
Hi everyone, I have Debian wheezy installed on my computer and was wondering if there is any way to convert to LMDE ? I am finding that Debian might be stable but that is about all that I can say for it. No matter what I try to install I get nothing but errors that has to do with the older software....

Re: Mint 17.1 not responding to mouse clicks
No not really any special reason, just thought that it might run a little faster and be a little more stable. That is the advise that I had received anyway. I think I got it pretty much solved and working some of the kinks out now.

Mint 17.1 not responding to mouse clicks
Well I installed Mint 17.1 today. Everything went as smooth as silk and everything works but it;s no right. No matter what Icon I click on, it will take between 20 to 40 seconds before anything happens. Everything will open in due time but with that long time lag. I have checked with top, htop and s...

32 bit or 64 bit , that is the question
I am going to do a clean install of Mint 17.1 because I have a few quirks in Mint 17 that I can not work out. My computer is a 64 bit machine but is a low end performance . So my question is...... would it be better to install the 32 bit or should I install the 64 bit ? I don't know if it will creat...

Re: Menu delay ?
According to the smart drive test, everything is ok and everything passed. Yes, after I once use the menu once it open up immediately after that. I also timed the boot up of the machine just now and it took 1 minute 55 seconds before I could use the machine. I will keep looking and search for some a...

Menu delay ?
I am running Linux mint 17 and I can't get a bug out of it. Everything seems to work fine except for when I open a the main menu. It takes between 1 and 1 1/2 minutes for the menu to respond after clicking on the menu button. No other icon or software has this problem. No matter what I click on afte...

Re: No help with 17 & Samsung Adroid 4.2.2 phone?
that is odd. right click on one of the pictures that you have moved to your computer and check the properties of the actual picture. Is it the correct size? What does it open with ? It has to be something with the viewer that you are using because if the computer see's the phone, and you can drag an...

Have you tried to drag and drop them from the phone to the computer ? Are they blank on the computer or the phone?
