Re: LMDE Update Pack 7 - when?

Well sadly I have jumped ship also. I have no issues with waiting for updates but being kept out of the loop with what is happening (or not happening) just stinks. I've been using Mint distros since Mint 8 and have always loved each one but after getting tired of distro hopping and doing installs I ...

well, 1.3.5 was in the repo. added it to /etc/apt/sources.list updated and installed 1.3.5

1.3.5 will hopefully be better than 1.3.3 lol

Deluge 1.3.6 for LMDE[SOLVED]

I'm wondering how to get the latest deluge-gtk, deluged installed on LMDE. The current version available is 1.3.3. Is it as easy as adding the repo that contains 1.3.6 and all the depends, installing then removing the repo? 1.3.3 has been giving me fits here lately and I'd like to upgrade to see of ...

Re: Nvidia Graphics Drivers - Install Guide

Hello all. I followed the guide and sucessfully installed the drivers for my card. Wish I could have just used the free ones but screen flickering and cinnamon freezing made me do it lol. My issue is that when running the nvidia settings panel I no longer have 1280x1024 resolution option for my seco...

Re: Mint 12 - printer not working

OK, well Im no Linux guru my self but I would try this, remove the printer in the gnome gui type 127.0.0.1:631 into firefox or whatever browser you use and this will bring up the CUPS admin panel. add the printer in the webui and see if that works, verify in synaptic that you have hplip installed al...

your not printing to PDF are you? I believe it defaults to "print to PDF" until you change it to the actual printer.

Re: Cant add HP printer

figured it out....

type 127.0.0.1:631 into firefox

then add the printer from there and it worked.....

EDIT: to add that I didnt need to update the HPLIP driver either, this is with the original driver that Mint in stalled during installation. has to be an issue with GNOME3 or Mint..

And instead of using the install link could I just use the install script provided by HP to do the re-install? http://hplipop...

Allow remote access permission option location

I have been looking for the box to check "allow remote users" in Mint 12. It was easy to find in the GNOME editions of Mint I used to use but simply can not find it in KDE. I asked in the n00b section but after several days I have not got a response, so any help will be greatly appreciated.
