Re: Mint 14 KDE?

I love your dark theme. What window decoration/style/color setup are you using? I've tried several dark color sets only to find that in Firefox or something that isn't KDE I get weird things happening such as black text against a black background that I can't figure out how to fix.

Re: Mint 14 KDE?

The plymouth theme in the final release is blue instead of green. The blue look is something I don't like about Mint's KDE edition. Why is it blue? I really wish they could take the look of the Cinnamon edition and carry it across all versions. I love that dark theme with the green. It's signature ...

Re: Mint 12 to maintain a classic desktop in addition to Uni

Could Linux Mint look like it did back in Mint 9? That was a beautiful look. Now Mint looks like everything else out there. Bring back the dark theme...

Re: Release Date for Linux Mint 11 KDE

Well stated. I switched distros a long time ago. I love Mint and it's a great distro, but it isn't the only great distro. I need one where KDE is priority and not shoved to the back burner all the time. Just out of curiosity, what distro did you switch to? I was a fan of Linux Mint before, but I'm ...

Re: If Linux Mint disappeared tomorrow, what would you use?

My main distro is PCLinuxOS, with either a Mandriva or Linux Mint side install to play with. Right now, I'm using Mandriva with a Linux Mint install on another partition. To me, these are easily the 3 best distros out.

Re: Drawbacks of a Rolling Release?

To be fair, I'm mainly a PCLinuxOS user, but I just got bit with KDE 4.5 update that went sour. I reinstalled the OS, and did a full update, only to get the same results. Hence, I've got Mandriva running on that partition. The advantages to rolling release are long term support, developers spend mor...

Re: The look of new Linux Mint

I agree that the arwork in Mint, so far, is just superb. I love the shade of green. It's both relaxing and fitting. Personally, I'd make all versions using green, instead of other colors like blue. Mint = green. You don't see OpenSuse or Fedora using other colors for their different desktops. Keep i...

Re: New Slogan?

I like "Simply Refreshing", but it could be shortened to just "Refreshing" or something like "Ahhh...Refreshing!" Honestly, that's what sold me on Linux Mint - how unlike Gnome was compared to just about every other Gnome based distro out there. If I wanted plain old Gnome, I'd be using Ubuntu or Fe...
