Re: Xfce 10 Julia Development(Update Feb 3)

:( Honestly, tell those people to rainbows off if they are spreading lies about her! And if your doctors base their assessment on rumours, then I can't really think of them as good scientists in any way. I assume you are from the US? You do pay a lot of money for health care, so why bear up with shi...

Re: Xfce 10 Julia Development(Update Feb 3)

Stop caring about what others think, and stop thinking that much about the release if there are more pressing things at stake. Save your energy for your wife's health! Good luck in your struggle! Really, the release can wait, and if someone wants Xfce on Mint, they can just as well install the Gnome...

Re: Mint 10 LXDE

I think that should be easy to implement. Just make a GUI in Zenity which sets the user that is to be autostarted. The file in question is: /etc/xdg/lubuntu/lxdm/lxdm.conf This is the code it has to contain: [base] autologin=NAME_OF_USER I think it works the same in Mint 9, but I have no way to chec...

No problem. :) I'm ambivalent towards theming. Sometimes I don't care, but sometimes a certain colour just freaks me out and I have to change the theme. It's odd...

I really preferred your theme submission for Debian Squeeze. I still find it odd that SpaceFun won out, but that theme is not that bad after a while. It grows on you.
Tnx! :) SpaceFun's wallpaper isn't bad with Shiki Brave and gnome brave icons, or Faenza Cupertino.

Re: Linux Mint 10 KDE

Clem and company have had a rather large set of serious setbacks since the release of LM 10 (Main)... Which makes me wonder how they could have assembled and maintained the distro so well. 10 is a really good release so far. Of course, the Ubuntu base has also gotten a lot better ever since 10.04 I...

Re: Linux Mint 10 KDE

Well, apart from that, 4.6 is finally ditching HAL, which isn't developed that often any more and, from what I've heard, was a mess technically speaking.

Is Linux Mint KDE 9 that bad that you have to switch to Kubuntu? Just asking since I've never used it longer than an hour.

Re: Linux Mint 10 LXDE Theming Proposal

Thanks. Happy New Year! :) I don't see a reason why the LXDE version shouldn't come out. Of course, all the spin offs were always a bit late, but that's to be expected, as I am sure that not many users actually work on LXDE, Fluxbox and Xfce.

Re: Mint 10 lacks support out of the box

Personally, I have experienced a few more FPS when playing games on the dolphin emulator. Maybe it was made with 64 bit in mind? Other than that, there isn't much improvement. I suppose it will be viable once memory chips skyrocket to 512 GB or whatnot. It might be hard to support this in a stable f...
