Re: Installing downloaded programs

I did what you suggested and downloaded the Deb package. Now when the Package Installer comes up I get the following error message "Error: Conflicts with the installed package 'openoffice.org-core'". Does this mean I have to uninstall the existing version prior to installing the new one?

Thanks!!!

Windows 7 Install on Dual Boot Machine

I made a newbie mistake. I did not take the necessary steps to insure that the dual boot worked. I installed Windows 7 on a dual boot XP Linux/Mint machine, only in the Windows partition, but now do not get the boot option. Broadcom Drivers

I saw that Broadcom drivers were supposed to be native to Gloria. However after installing Gloria on my HP zv5034us the wireless will not work. This is in a dual boot setup with XP. Is there something else I need to do to enable wireless?

After installing Linux Mint 7 I attempted to download Open Office. When I do I get the following error message "There is not enough room on the disk to save /tmp/z/WRbCau.part.".
