Re: UPDATE PACK 5 FEEDBACK THREAD
For the love of everything sacred, fix MDM being a royal PITA. Seriously. I can't even downgrade it now after I've installed GNOME-Shell because now it wants to uninstall gnome-core if I downgrade it to resolve the GDM3 conflict. This is an extreme roadblock in my eyes. This shouldn't have to have a...

Re: Change GDM3 to MDM?
I have to say that it's a bit more of a serious issue if you try to install gnome-shell. It crashes and burns on gdm3 and the conflicting png, leaving with you a broken installation.

Re: Linux Mint Debian 201204 RC (MATE/Cinnamon & Xfce) relea

Re: Linux Mint 9 released!
Can we please move the religious arguments to another forum? This topic is supposed to be about the release of Mint 9. If anyone runs across something that offends them in any post, please report it instead of arguing about it. Others are trying to read and post to this topic about things that are ...

Re: Gateway LT2104u Card Reader and Touch Pad Issues
I just wanted to point out that the Gateway LT2104u is actually a re-badged Acer Aspire One 532h. It even runs Acer software and the Windows 7 SKU is Acer Group on the license key sticker.

Re: Linux Mint 8 x64 RC1 Bug Thread
Also just noticed this in the Update manager when checking the changelog for the 'gdm' package. Link isn't correct.

Re: Linux Mint 8 x64 RC1 Bug Thread
Forgot to add, The Dell 530n, which came from Dell with Ubuntu preinstalled, will not fully boot the x64 OR the x32 version of the LiveCD. Both seem to get past the bootsplash screen and then sit for awhile, eventually stopping with the busy mouse pointer animation that has stopped moving. I haven't...

Re: Linux Mint 8 x64 RC1 Bug Thread
Well, on the update manager, I'm getting a failure to hit a lot of the mint apt repos, I can't rember what the exact name of the repository on your servers it was failing on, but I want to say "Romeo" or something along that line. Also, I am getting some issues with icons; the seem to be r...

Re: What kind of drugs is this guy on?
So I decided to put Karmic on my main rig with one of the latest daily builds. LiveCD installer crashed and burned at the last stage. Ok, it's a daily build. Try latest Beta. Same. I go back and try the latest daily alternate installer CD (Mint needs one of these) and it finally installed. Nice! Gru...
