Re: Aptana Studio 2.0 not working

Any ideas if the new stable Aptana 3 installs the same way on mint or is anyone using it?

I'm thinking of sticking with the last lts of mint and want to delve into web development.

Thanks :)

Update Manager (Ubuntu confusion?)

Hi, When I went to update mint 8 I was confronted with what can be seen in the image below. I have Ubuntu 10.04 installed too so my question is this "is it normal to see that (in the image)? or has there been some confusion between mint and ubuntu? they are on seperate partitions but is it possible?...

Re: Language packs missing accents

Thanks Remoulder I'll check that out. Leppie, maybe I'm just stuck in my ways, but I'm pretty sure when I set it to the uk international with dead keys, I had to press the --> " key twice for " to work which was pretty annoying. I know it might seem easier than pressing Ctrl+Alt+vowel but I have tha...

Re: Language packs missing accents

Still can't get it the way I want. Is there a way I can create keyboard shortcuts/bindings like in Crunchbang e.g. http://crunchbanglinux.org/wiki/howto/edit_keyboard_shortcuts ?? I know it's a different manager (openbox) but surely there has to be a similar option here right? I mean, it's linux, an...

Language packs missing accents

Hi, I am currently installing Helena and wish to install with the "Irish" English or Irish Keyboard layout. However, when I press Ctrl+Alt+a/e/i/o/u (as I used to do in Windows) I am not being returned with a fada. A fada is the Irish equivalent to a grave or similar vowel accents in Latin languages...

Re: Possible Future Mint Browser???

Just reporting on Seamonkey2. It's nice, I like the way it incorporates 5 different apps in 1. I think it is generally slightly easier on the cpu than firefox, but ram is up at 13% of 1.72Gb (2Gb) with 10 tabs open. Few small niggles here and there but overall its pretty sweet. I think I'll be using...

How do I make an app an executable command?

I've downloaded the seamonkey tarball and extracted it to the same folder. I would ultimately like to install or sort it into the appropriate folders and more importantly I would like it so when I type "seamonkey" in terminal it will run. For the latter part, do I have to put something into a certai...

Re: Possible Future Mint Browser???

Apparently the big difference between Chrome and "Chromium" is that Chrome (when finished) is considered the stable version whereas "Chromium" is the bleeding edge version (latest advancements but with the added strain of bugs n crashes). For a similar alternative, SRWare Iron for Linux is also unde...

Re: Possible Future Mint Browser???

Sounds like someone got out of the wrong side of the bed this morning! :P  I was referring to the colour theme  ;) You don't think it would suit mint? Maybe a couple shade tweaks, but also the possibility to customise it as you wish is pretty cool and would integrate the browser more into...

Possible Future Mint Browser???

Has anyone seen this theme for chromium? They are putting a suite together which is in the making atm, but when I saw this I just thought it had LinuxMint all over it! http://832062192569656875-a-1802744773732722657-s-sites.googlegroups.com/site/chromiumthemes/news/theme-releases/grey_green_view.png...
