Re: Custom cursor switches backto default only in Chrome bro
Thanks for the reply, Austin. I was thinking that it was a Chrome issue as well & not something easily fixed.

Custom cursor switches backto default only in Chrome browser
I'm running Linux Mint 17, 32 bit. I like having the green cursor on my desktop. But, as subject the line says, it's green in all applications & all over Mint except in the Chrome Browser. I've tried Oxygen Cursors & Crystal Cursors. I've tried making the cursor selection not just in the The...

Re: But I WANT the logo on boot
The easiest way is to install & use Grub-customizer. It allows you to use most any .png graphic as a grub background/boot screen, edit grub & change the text colors in grub.

Re: How to enable alert sound in Linux Mint14?
Probably the easiest way is to install Ubuntu Tweak from http://ubuntu-tweak.com After it's installed, run it & click on "Tweaks" then "Sound" . Then you can enable Event, Login & Input Feedback sounds.

Re: How to enable logitech g930 surround sound?
In some of the Ubuntu forums, there are a few users that claim to have gotten the surround working on the G930. See http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-1586854.html I have doubts on how well it works or if it's really worth the hassle. That headset & drivers were designed specifically fo...

Re: TIME FORMAT PROBLEM
In the calendar settings, change the date & time format settings from %a %b %e, %H:%M to %a %b %e, %I:%M. (replace the H with an I) That will give you AM/PM format.

Joe, have you ever tried checking what process is sucking up resources by using "System Monitor"? It might give you a idea of where to look for a solution. Just sayin'

You should be able to create "super" key shortcuts or reassign shortcuts in the shortcuts section of Keyboard settings. (system settings>keyboard>shortcuts)

I just did a fresh install of Mint 13 Mate 2 days ago. BRAVO!! to Clem & the rest of the team. It just works. Everything is in the expected place & the options and customization features do their job like they used to. It's kind of like finding a comfortable old pair of shoes in the back of ...

Re: Screen went haywire & no maximize & minimize buttons
It is always a good idea when you post to include hardware details & which version of Linux Mint you are running. Have you recently installed new video drivers? I used to see similar symptoms on Mint 12 when I used the "half-baked" AMD/ATI drivers. If this is the case, uninstall the ne...

Re: Restricted Drivers Available

Re: Does ATI hate Linux? Issue with Gnome 3 and Catalyst
Mint 12 works fine as long as I use the default ATI driver. I've tried different versions of ATI's driver since installing Mint 12, and while the newer drivers seem to be getting better, eventually I start having the same problems with the desktop . I'll wait to install ver 12.3 until after I see wh...
