Re: So, "Microsoft" called me ...

I lead them on and on and when they get to the part where they want you to login to their site I tell them I don't have internet service. I told the guy the police took it away from me

Blacklist on Update Manager

I was going to blacklist the newest kernel (161) due to problems with my USB drives. I found these two update that were in the blacklist. Don't even know how they got there? I wonder if I should go ahead and install them :?: I'm afraid they may trash my system due to how long they have been in the b...

Re: Yesterday Kernel 4.4.0-161

Yep, there is something wrong with it. I tried it again and the same problems happened with my USB flash drive(s). Went into Windoze 7 and everything worked fine. Went back to 4.4.0-159 and I'm good to go. I will just wait until the next kernel.

Yesterday Kernel 4.4.0-161

I updated to Kernel 4.4.0-161 yesterday. I've noticed my USB devices are acting very strange. Can't mount some of them and others will mount but I have no permissions to do anything on them. Went back to the last Kernel 4.4.0-159 and the USB devices work like they should. Anyone else :?:

I keep seeing a lot of articles like this one -- www.washingtonpost.com/business/2019/08/20/ransomeware-attacks-are-an-expensive-threat-city-state-governments-wont-ebb-anytime-soon/ The article tells how a Florida city agreed to pay a $600,000 ransom to get its systems back after a ransomware attac...

Asus Router Showing Malicious attacks with 19.2

I run 18.3 Cinnamon on my desktop (Hardwired) and I never get any signs of Malicious attacks from my Asus wireless router. I installed Mint 19.2 XFCE on my Asus Laptop the other day and love it. I've been getting emails about this laptop trying to open sites that are a NO-NO from my router. The lapt...
