Re: Firefox 82: some websites do not work properly

<just thinking aloud> Firing a bunch of developers and shortening the update release cycle intervals may not be compatible with ensuring software quality. </just thinking aloud> Good thinking IMHO :( What I hate about the new Firefox is it will sometimes hangup and be hung for around 20 to 30 sec. ...

Re: Firefox 82: some websites do not work properly

I found out turning off the hardware accelerator and clearing all cookies, history ... helped with my problems on the new Firefox. Still just not right though? Chrome is so much faster :?:

Re: Fireox 82: some websites do not work properly

I'm not having issues with websites but Firefox 82 is slow and I get the internet connection flag a lot. It says they are having network connections problems. I switched back to Chrome and it runs fine. Dumping Firefox for awhile.

Most IT bosses I had over the years didn't even know anything about computers  Strange how they pick these upper management people :?: One day I was Top-Dog and there wasn't any difference.

Re: FireFox update 'Today' fails on Firejail

Try running it without Firejail; the Firejail profile may be incompatible with the new FF version. I think you can bypass Firejail by launching FF from terminal with command: /usr/bin/firefox I had tried just running Firefox from the command line and it failed. I tried what you posted and it did ru...

I've experienced this USB drag for years. I've just got use to it. Mine will get to 99 percent and stay there way too long

  • Answer ...: Close to EOL is very relative. Official EOL for LM 18.x is end of April 2021. Now we have August 2020. 8 months left for LM 18.x.
When you get my age 8 months is only two weeks

Now that 18.3 is close to EOL

I've found my new version of Mint that is just as stable as 18.3. Switched all my laptops over to 19.3 XFCE and they run like tops 8) Next will be my HP engineering workstation. I think by the time 19.3 hits EOL I will be due for new hardware.
