I would try 18.3 Xfce on that machine. You may try Peppermint also. I found it to be faster on my mini-laptop

Re: Whats everyone currently listening to?

Just mowed the yard and set my iPOD on some old Triumph Triumph is one of my favorite bands, along with Rush and Yes. They have a similar sound. You and I would get alone just fine. I've hung out with Steve Howe years ago. Super nice but strange guy. He was one of my biggest influences to learn gui...

Re: Excited for 19.x

I installed 19 on my external drive and it was running great until I upgraded my Nivida card driver. Blank screen now  Oh well, back to the drawing board.

Went back to the Linux video driver and all is well again.

Re: Reinstating windows

I am having no luck with running Linux so I want to go back to pathetic, but at least working, Windows 10. I'm having problems finding an easy way to remove Linux and reinstall Windows. Can anyone help, please? I might have said this 10 years ago but not today. Linux Mint is flawless IMHO. What kin...

Re: FBI Tells People To Reboot Routers, Warns Of Major Malware Infection

Yeah ... this has me a bit concerned. I'm running a Linksys WRT54G2 with firmware version 1.0.04 build 005, Jun. 16, 2009.  This model will not run Tomato either and I'm afraid to try DD-WRT because it looks a bit complex to install.
