This is why I switched to WaterFox. FF has been doing this for me since v60. I think it's FireJail on mine

Hello gordie1969 https://thumb.ibb.co/dA8CQ8/hello.gif Welcome to Linux Mint and the Linux Mint forum :) I don't bother with fire jail or ufw and never had a problem with banking or stock trading. If it makes you feel safer then by all means use them. Do you use a firewall on your router? I can see...

Thanks for the ideas to try Redlined. I've switched to WaterFox awhile back but it even is starting to act weird? My main problem with both FF and WF is the delay I get when typing. I will be typing away and look and nothing is there then all of a sudden it all fills in :?

Yep ... Glipper, Shutter and the Weather. You think this is doing this? Should I make them only run on my demand?

My Cinnamon process will creep up in memory even with my computer idle. Anyway to fix this problem? I've got so I restart everyday to get the memory back. Do the other desktops leak memory like Cinnamon? Thanks System: Host: pepi-HP-Z600-Workstation Kernel: 4.4.0-139-generic x86_64 (64 bit gcc: 5.4....

CPU on TOP and System Monitor

Which program do you trust? I'm having issues with the Web Content process in WaterFox eating up a lot of memory and CPU. Appears the two programs show different information about the Web Content process ???

Re: ShutDown Vbox before Shutting down Linux

Always had a habit of shutting down all running programs before shutting down the OS. Probably from my Windoz years  At one point when I was in IT we had a check list posted on the wall of the server room. It listed the shutdown order of all applications, servers, network switches, routers...

I keep programs that I don't use deleted off my SSD. One thing about Linux ... you can install and delete programs without worrying about trashing your OS like Windoz

Japanese head of cybersecurity knows nothing about computers ! I want a job! I could tell him that I need a brand new Ferrari because there might be a virus in the computer that would make me run over a million people. Before I became the manager of IT where I worked I had a boss that didn'...
