yup its enabled... I tried tweaking the settings too..
the keyboard shortcut works but I really want the function of just grabbing the title bar with my mouse to move it

cant move window

When I move the mouse pointer to the titlebar to move a window , I cant grab the window and move it...
I could do this earlier..
Im on Linux mint 9 Isadora ...

files not recognized

hi there.. im having a strange problem.. I have a lot of mixed reading material (pdf, chm etc) on my main windows lappy... i copied them to an external hard drive (75 gb) fashioned out of an old redundant lappy now i connect it to the netbook which has mint 9 and it doesnt recognize any of the ebook...

@kei84... thank you.ah yes i have been doing that.. using the auto hide makes the panel like a dock but 2 things- it doesn' t stay on the desktop even if windows aren't open and i just love the shine and anims and effects of cairo its a silly i know :oops: . but aren't there kids like us who 'd rath...

ah good... atleast im not the only one thinking about a minty applet.. love the mint menu ... been hunting round google but couldn't find anything..

awn is very stable but i just like the animations and effects of cairo and the slider app... its a bit buggy and crashy though

how do you add the mint menu into cairo dock/any other dock? i prefer the mint menu over the default gnome menu it comes with

yup tried that out but it doesn't really do what I would like... I want something like the clone and heal functions of gimp automated.. i.e. blending with the background
mtpaint also has clone and is way faster than gimp but still needs somewhat of an artistic hand which I still don't have :roll:

ah but that removes only the peripheral parts of the image... If i wanna to remove a central part of the image leaving the rest intact, i need to use clone and heal tools in gimp and my hands aren't yet that steady ... hmm.. Iv googled around a lot .. my search ends in failure :| .. p.s. mtpaint is ...

1st off a thank you to the both of you for the fast replies.. Iv tried out all the applications listed but they ain't as easy the programs im talking about.. inpaint or photowipe. With them its just select and go... parts of the image you don't need are wiped out.. I would like it to be just select ...

inpaint alternative

Inpaint is a windows program that makes it very easy for me to remove unwanted objects from digital photos/ images and the like... anyone know of a easy alternative in linux please?

tried installing with wine/ crossover but it just wont work..

amarok works great for autoresume !! ... your kwallet advice was much needed... :mrgreen: i had to do a bit o' googlin to install ffmpeg otherwise my formats werent getting recognised... also it doesnt have a windowshade or mini mode.... iv been trying out audacious and really liking it... lets see ...

in a way im glad to hear that coz i want good playlist management and autoresume features... i ll give it a go again... it somehow was very laggy the last i installed it... also it kept asking me to set up some kwallet app everytime i started it and thats annoying me....
