Re: Isadora with flash square beta (32bit) ?

Hi there! Flash works perfectly fine for me, fullscreen/HD whatever, and I doubt I'm the only one. Fact is, those who have perfectly working Flash generally don't speak up, while those who DO have problems with Flash tend to make themselves heard, thus giving the impression that Flash sucks. Or some...

Re: Isadora with flash square beta (32bit) ?

Hi Vincent! Thanks for the info. I'm not sure I'm couraged enough to try the square update (it is still a beta isnt it?). I read several posts in the past where people had problems with Flash. When I started out with Linux I tried several distros just to find out which one works best on my system wi...

Isadora with flash square beta (32bit) ?

Hi there! Has anyone tried the adobe flash square beta (32bit) with Mint Isadora yet? Is it a significant improvement? Are there any relevant speculations on when Square will be part of an official mint-update (for Isadora)? Would love to see some improvement especially with youtube HD videos. HD vi...

Re: Gnome - GTK theme "crashing"

Hi, I have Mint Isadora LTS main edition. And I have the same issue. Really I have no idea when or why it happens. It's just that all of the sudden I think, what's going on, when did I switch to the Windows 3.1 look ;) ? After reboot it has so far been normal again. Changing the appearance back to d...

Re: Mint Isadora: theme changes by itself from default to

Thanks! Didn't see that thread because I have Main and the post is in Mint Debian. It's a minor issue, but it's kinda weird. Shouldn't happen in a stable main edition I think. Obviously I am assuming it's not my fault since others have it too, and it looks just the same. Early after my fresh install...

Mint 10 RC- features available for Isadora ?

Hi! 1. I have read about some improvements about Linux Mint 10RC. Like the ignore update option with right click, and improved Flash. Will those updates be available for Isadora LTS too? 2. 10RC has the DVD install option from the live-CD. Since I installed Isadora from the live-CD I wondered what b...

Mint Isadora: theme changes by itself from default to

Hi! I have Mint Isadora installed. Sometimes the whole theme changes by itself in the middle of a session without me doing anything. I have the default theme marked in Appearance and at times it changes to a very basic "Windows 3.1" look. I don't think that look is even a usual option in Appearance....

Re: Mint vs Ubuntu

I agree, maybe I'm an idiot but I was always having issues with flash on the older ubuntus. ... And Flash never did work correctly on my desktop with Ubuntu, no matter how much I messed with it. Linux Mint, on the live CD and right after install, is able to play all those formats... I dont know wha...

Re: necessary to change mint version every year?

Thank you very much for your help!
I guess I'll be back for some questions when I install the LTS version in april ;).
Especially considering how to make the right partitions, because there's a windows rescue backup on a partition and I want to keep that.

regards

necessary to change mint version every year? [SOLVED]

Hi! I’d like to change from windows xp to linux mint. I’ve tested mint 7 for a while and I quite like it. What keeps me from changing though is that I don’t really understand if I have to change to the most recent version every year. Is that necessary in terms of support? Or is it rather a support f...
