Re: Realtek 8111GR not detected anymore

Hi everybody :) I was thinking about getting a ASUS H97M-E mobo (with realtek 8111gr nic for the LAN) on a pc I am building. Did you get to solve the issue, maybe upgrading the Mint/kernel version? Your feedback would be precious to me.

Thank you
Giorgio

Re: Linux Mint 11 KDE

Usually they try to make the KDE version stand on its own. Why make it look like Gnome? I don't see the point in that. Though it is true most of the other versions do emulate the Gnome look, I'm glad KDE departs from it and goes it's own way (though you can of course change the theme regardless of ...

Re: Linux Mint 11 KDE

Hi! I wonder if the team is considering changing the look and feel of KMInt to make it more similar to the standard Gnome edition. Maybe applying by default a theme like ambiance or elementary. I found something nice http://upload.centerzone.it/images/34845017967410161904.jpeg being developed in the...

Hi :) I attach my current desktop, Mint 11 with AWN (repo) on the bottom, and my custom "desio" theme, with the Tittoni-Traversi Villa background and the colours of the city of Desio, Lombardia (Italy).

M10 KDE NetworkManager saves connection but doesnt show it

Hi, I searched the forums but wasn't able to find a post for this specific issue. I think it's KDE releated because (1) on Mint 10 gnome I can connect to the internet smoothly, (2) I had similar issues with other recent KDE distros, like Chakra 2011.02, OpenSUSE 11.4, Pardus 2011 (unsolved). After i...

Re: All you old geezers check this one out..

Hi! I tried trinity 3.5.11 and .12 on my Linux Mint installations and find it a very interesting and promising project. A few days ago I tried KDE 4.6 on Chakra Linux. It looked very fast and stable despite the blotated, crashing latest KDE 4.x releases. But... when I just tried to change the main p...

MerlWiz don't worry about the iso... as others said, do it when you have time and energy for it. Family comes first!

Best wishes to you and your wife, "in bocca al lupo!" as we say here in Italy

Hi! I found instruction for installation on ubuntu (worked for my Mint) on some Italian debian users forum (I don't remember the name now at I'm not at my home PC).
