It is not wrong...its just that you see it different...you can say to yourself what should or what should not..you can even report this post..but..this is a personal opinion..like yours..I do not think that your opinion is WRONG...i think that this is your opinion .. not a general rule ..in my case....

Keep yourself on one Distro.

I am talking mainly to new GNU/Linux Users , this is my advice.. Keep yourself on one Distro for some time ..it is easy to stay changing and probing new distros, or new editions of Distros...that is good for Linux Users with big knowledge..because they can evaluate very well a Distro..and sometimes...

Yes..there is an easy fix..just using other desktop theme..and when you put it transparent the panels will become transparent with no problem...but..the default panels most work in the same way that others do..at this point there is a bug..easy to solve I guess..at least on a further version. Thanks of your answer... Why I mean by commercial...is the use that commercial people can give to Linux Mint..small business, Offices, even Teachers needs a right word processor..I was not using the term commercial in the same context of Proprietary Companies..but pointing the need that a lot of us...

I do think too.. that Mac Desktop is more elegant than Ms Windows...and that Gnome Look more than Mac Desktop.. Well..thanks for the comments..I will try XFCE..and wait for Mint 8 KDE...its true with the old kernel..the KDE Version of Linux should be slower and of course the KDE version of Mint 8 most be faster with the new Kernel..
