Bluetooth + BrennanB2
I have recently purchased a BrennanB2 (www.brennan.co.uk) and I had anticipated transferring .mp3 music files from desktop computers to the storage on the BrennanB2.
The BrennanB2 has a Bluetoooth dongle fitted.
How can I make it work?

[Resolved} Re: syndaemon: no process found
I suspect that the fundamental cause of the failure was an incomplete upgrade, some of the sources could not be reached. I have reloaded a fresh copy of the .iso and updated/upgraded before I did any thing else. The .iso appears to be about six months old and judging by the need for some 280 updates...

Re: Has the system been changed?
It would appear that the system that I normally use is producing erroneus results.
When I go back to my original LMDE and format the usb stick and load the iso with mint software it all works.
Presently loading LMDE2 Betsy.
Thanks

Re: Has the system been changed?
This may be a repeat! The code used to create the usb stick is the code used in your link. The ./prefix to the .iso file name ensures that the file is only taken from the location where the console is located. Does the statement; "The LMDE ISOs and the live installer use a different structure than t...

Has the system been changed?
Some time ago the following instructions were proposed to create a bootable usb stick linux Iso # dd if=./lmde-2-201503-cinnamon-64bit.iso of=/dev/sdc1 oflag=direct bs=1048576 When I use it now I receive an error message; isolinux.bin missing or corrupt I note that in the download section it mention...

Re: Mintbox2 availability in the UK?
Try http://www.tinygreenpc.com/.
Might have the wrong label but I think you will find that they are the same.
I bought a FitPC3 (MintBox) and fitted a ssd. I am sure it should be an ssd.
No imports to worry about.
Happy hunting,

Re: Check this before upgrading LMDE Cinnamon/GnomeShell to
My experience with update 7 was horrendous. Two computers wiped out. Two new installs from 201303 successful wihout any additions. From this I can only deduce that the additional software that I was using upset update7. Yes there are packages from KDE3.5 but they all came from Debian Repositories. I...

Re: sources.list
Thanks to you both.
Two updates failed miserably so, having used all of my broadband allocation, put in a new iso and updated those. The iso has the correct sources list!
Rolling updates are a joke for me.

sources.list
Please may I have a copy of the correct 'sources.list' to use for Update 7. My existing lists have produced a rider to the Update Pack Info "Your system is pointing to the 'Linux Mint Debian Incoming' repository. This is only recommend(ed) for experienced users." This statement definitely excludes m...

Update 7 Total and abject Failure
I am really an oldie newbie, so please be patient. Do you remember the last catastrophe with updates? They changed the system and they were so successful the I did not bother to preserve my latest data this time! Sod's law it crashed - big time. The operation went smoothly and the first clues were w...

Re: Dual boot same version of Mint?
No reason why you should not have as many installations as you want each on separate partitions. To get different /homes use different user names - if your present 'defective' system uses /home/joeblogs then for another installation call the user 'jacksprat' and you will get /home/jacksprat. When mo...

I loaded Cinnamon when a choice was presented. It is on the cards that ever since I have just used what comes up when you press the 'go' button. Going back and trying some alternatives I may be using Gnome classic. The malfunctions are still present. I like the desktop that I am using. martin welsh
