Win10 + LM dual boot, from image.
I have a 2TB SSD that has my LM 19.3 installed, I created a 100GB partition and dropped in my Windows image using Acronis TrueImage. In other words, I did not install from disc. There are now 4 primary partitions on the drive, sda1(Root) sda2(swap) sda3(home) and sda4 (Windows). I am able to mount t...

Re: Cloud backup recommendations
I use pcloud for files up to 10GB, it's multi platform, and for large cloud based, I got an S3 account at Amazon, and use a program called Duplicati to back up to it. I have 256 bit AES encryption to hide my muffin recipes from prying eyes.

I DJ all the time with MIXXX. It has an appearance similar to Traktor, and does just fine.

Re: Screen tearing
I would say the issue is the APU, in this case. It is VERY weak, and Linux, unlike Windows, uses a lot of CPU to play video. I would try to change the APU. Anything like an A8-9600 would do a fine job, if it's am AM3 board, find something similar.

Re: Cannot Upgrade Google Chrome in Maya
I like 17, but with the newest iteration of Mint about to drop, I want to wait till I have something that is more "current" so Google doesn't do this to me in two more years. Does anyone know how to bypass the "Update Flash" notification in Opera? Opera's forums show a total disc...

Re: How to copy my DVD collection
Ditto. I used K9 Copy in Mint 10, and Thoggen in Mint 13. Now on 17 I can get neither. What can be used to do a DVD-to-ISO rip?

What wireless laptop adapters work with Mint 13? [UNSOLVED]
I have gone through a box of adapters, researching many that don't work. So I thought it might be a good idea to ask which ones the community has had good luck with. I tried searching the forums, but only came up with problems.

Re: Need to recover a RAID 1 Array after reformat
I did format it when I created the RAID array initially. Here's the output of the fdisk command: WARNING: GPT (GUID Partition Table) detected on '/dev/sda'! The util fdisk doesn't support GPT. Use GNU Parted. Disk /dev/sda: 3000.6 GB, 3000592982016 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 364801 cylinders...

Re: Need to recover a RAID 1 Array after reformat
"So you can boot, but the linux partition image restore was pre-raid setup." That is correct. "Did you install mdadm " Yes. "and try a scan or assemble" I have not done that. I know I can search how to do it, however, my life is on those drives, and I didn't want to des...

Re: Need to recover a RAID 1 Array after reformat
This is not a booting issue. The other two drives are separate, and have nothing to do with the operating system. They just don't show up as a RAID array after I recovered an old image-based backup of the OS, pre-raid.

I gave you the wrong idea...I only had a backup of the root partition. I DID think I could access at least one of my drives. I was wrong. I still have my life suspended...HALP!
