Re: [Help] How to get back to the original Mint's GDM config

Sorry the double post, but a bump might be usefull. Seems that the edubuntu-artwork package has some file that update-alternatives run when the package is installed, and the last line adds the image to the sesion-greeter varible on gconf. The thing is that when i remove the name of the file it appea...

Re: [Help] How to get back to the original Mint's GDM config

Hey, yea, that's an option. The thing is that i've installed a lot of apps that i use (and some tweaks to the fonts and configs), and that time is what bothers me. I can live with that, but if there's a way to fix that without reinstalling would be great. Thanks EDIT: Can anyone, please, post the co...

[Help] How to get back to the original Mint's GDM config

Hey guys, yesterday i bought a new notebook (Dual Core T4500) and it runs great with Mint 9. But i had the bad idea to install a bunch of desktop themes and one of them screw the gdm nice layout that comes by default: It added an edubuntu logo and my computers name. I don't want that crap, i'd like ...

Re: Banshee - Best Music Player?

For me the best choice for a "traditional" music player is Audacious2. If not, Audacious-Classic or AudLegacy (both from a PPA of the developer of them). For a jukebox maybe Exaile is a good choice. Since it's the equivalent for Amarok but for Gnome instead. http://gquigs.blogspot.com/sear...

Re: Songbird By Default

Well... i think that we should revise the multimedia apps by default. I don't use totem since always has a problem with each type of format..., i don't use rythmbox since i don't like the jukebox style (i don't know why the hell all the world has to mimic the iTunes UI). What i do when i have a fres...

[GRUB]Brand-new Universal loadeR from GRUB: BURG

Hey people, i've seen a new project which allows to customize in a very nice way the current GRUB2. Maybe can we use it for new releases?
