My kids will be using the netbook eventually and i dont want them to mess around with menus they dont know about. How about themes specially for netbook, what do you guys use? The resol...

Re: NBR?

I have a Toshiba netbook and is interested in this setup. What Linux Mint flavor should be used for this, Gnome or Fluxbox? Considering the hardware involved, it would be great to use the latter. Though a 1 GB memory should be enough for Gnome to handle. Im using Gnome I don't know if it would work...

Re: Should there be a netbook remix?

Could someone post pics of this "Window picker applet"? I've heard of it before but I've never seen nor tried it. Here you go. When you use maximus it removes the title and close x from the top of your windows. The window picker applet puts the title and close x in your bar. When you mini...

Re: Should there be a netbook remix?

Thanks to all that replied with ways to setup your own Mint NBR. I have been playing with them on my laptop. When I get my netbook I will just make my own Mint NBR until if or when an offical version comes out 8)

Edit to add a screenshot of my laptop with the netbook interface.

Re: PCI USB card

I finally found the disk that came with the card. If you browse the disk there is a folder titled Linux. In that folder are 2 things. A folder titled ehci1 another folder titled ohci. Im guessing these have something to do with the driver for the card but I have no idea how to use them.
