Broadcom wireless not working in Mint 14 Cinnamon
I just did a fresh install of Mint 14 Cinnamon on my HP ProBook 6470b laptop. The install went well and was very quick, however I can't seem to get my wireless card working. It worked out of the box for Ubuntu. The card I have is a Broadcom BCM943228HM4L. I tried going to Software Sources -> Additio...

Laptop battery power
I just installed Linux Mint on a HP Compaq 6910p and most things seem to be working good. However, I am having two issues: 1. When plugged in to AC power, the battery/underside of the laptop get EXTREMELY hot, more hot than it should be. Anything I can do about this? 2. This laptop dual boots Linux ...

I asked about the thread the other day. Someone said there was a thread and here it is. I am very interested in this project, I just have to find time to read through it.

Re: I found me a Linux HOME Thanks Clem and Everyone
I'm a somewhat new Mint user and I am impressed as well. Who knew something that was built on Ubuntu could be this stable and feature rich? Not that I am bad mouthing Ubuntu but I don't think I would ever use it again as my main desktop distro. Too many instability issues. Mint is definitely one of ...

Not a problem...
I would much rather be using XP but I don't have the extra cash nor feel the need to get it. Vista does what I need Windows to do (virtually nothing) and for 99.99999997% of my work I use Mepis, Arch, antiX, and/or Mint. I can pick and choose and like them all!

Re: Mount external HD-error
No need to get hostile. This drive has never been attached to an XP machine. It is attached to a Vista machine and always unmounted properly ( I would be stupid not to there is valuable data on it). I guess something went wrong with the "Safely Remove" option in Vista. I will try unmountin...

I don't have Blu-Ray, nor want it, but it may prove to be of use for your purposes.

Mint user guide
Not sure if I put this in the right spot (mods-feel free to move the post if so). I was trying to look at the Mint User Guide but it doesn't seem that the links are working. Here is where I went: http://www.linuxmint.com/wiki/index.php/Introduction#The_User_Guide I tried both links under the User Gu...
