I totally agree with your point even though, to me, using a less user friendly OS is a fair "sacrifice" (but also a challenge) to have a way faster/safer/more elegant, as you said, computer.

I should have waited to speak, I got those errors too later today (around 18.30 GMT+1) but it started to work fine again later on.

I encountered some slow times as well even though it was always something bearable, I live in Italy. Never had any kind of error or problem loading pages, might just be that I've been quite lucky.
