cd /boot/grub/
sudo nano menu.lst
nano is just a terminal text editior, try that i got it open

hmm, i seem to remember a certain way that you have to open the menu.lst in order for editing to occur, that might be your problem. let me search around a bit and find that for you!!

yes, starts at 0,0 then goes up 0,1 - 0,2 etc. i hate editing the boot manually :p good luck!!!

did you restart tho to see if it was fixed? i've messed with dual booting backtrack, windows, and mint and menu.lst hasn't always shown changes

xeno is the root of Xenos, which in greek is stranger which i though was pretty cool and the -recor on the end was something i threw on so no one would ever have the same name as me, so far its worked

another reason it might not be working tho is because its muted! my computer always boots up muted for some strange reason.
